Weekly Group Runs

Below are some of the more “organized” group runs we have on a weekly basis:

Monday Morning, 5:30am at Red Mountain Park: This is an easy social run that lasts about an hour. You can find a reminder for these group runs on our Facebook page the day before each run. Or you can email Michael Campbell for more information.

Tuesday Night, 6:00pm at Red Mountain Park: This is our Tuesday Night Trails (TNT) group. We have at least 3 pace groups, all with leaders and sweepers so no one is ever left behind. Whether you’re new to trail running or a seasoned guru, there’s a group for you. Groups head out at 6:00 sharp and last roughly 50 minutes. The park closes at 7:00, but we head across the street to Overtime Bar & Grill for some social time afterwards. Check our Facebook Group or email Sonia Steely for more information. This group only meets during Daylight Savings Time between March and September.

Thursday Morning, 5:30am at Red Mountain Park: This is an easy social run that lasts about an hour. You can find a reminder for these group runs on our Facebook page the day before each run. Or you can email Michael Campbell for more information.

Friday Afternoon, 4:30pm at Ruffner Mountain: This is a 1.5-2 hour group run that starts from the trailhead by the Ruffner Ballfields. Ruffner has some of the most technical trails in Birmingham, so it may not be best for beginners. But don’t worry, this group won’t leave anyone to fend for themselves. We head over to Woodlawn Cycle Cafe for some post-run food and refreshments. Check our Facebook Group or email Brad Olzinski for more information.

Spontaneous group runs are constantly organized and announced on our Facebook Group Page. If you’re not a member there, head on over and request access.
